I’m Eddie Ross. I’ve worked in healthcare for the last 15 years and one thing I’m certain of is that the system is super complex. I’ve picked up a lot of industry knowledge along the way and my goal with Lit Health is to help people become more healthcare literate (Lit is short for literacy).

Only 4% of people can explain the key elements of their health insurance (co-pay, co-insurance, deductible and out of pocket max). Only 12% of people have a basic level of health literacy. If you don’t understand your health benefit and you don’t have a basic level of health literacy, then its pretty much impossible to make good decisions when you need healthcare.
